Maximal Selective Transmit Diversity for Petahertz Wireless Communications With Continuous Waveform Detector

Motivated by unique atmospheric scattering properties of optical waves at petahertz frequencies, we present a novel maximal selective transmit diversity scheme based on the selection maximum irradiance path with continuous waveform detector employed for wireless communications. The proposed is designed to significantly improve performance non-line-of-sight (NLOS) link in turbulence-induced fading channel. We characterize received signal wave and quantify cumulative distribution function (CDF) largest order statistics irradiance. Furthermore, derive closed-form expressions important metrics including average bit error rate, outage probability, channel capacity each scattered experiencing Gamma-Gamma distributed fading. From analytical derived, NLOS communication system analyzed validated. Simulation results show that effectively overcomes impairment without increasing power. Even under strong turbulence fading, when number branches increases from 1 2 4, required signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) maintain an probability 10−5 found be reduced 13 dB 21 dB, respectively.
